Elizabeth (Beth) Alves
President of Intercessors International
"Lord teach me to pray," became her desperate cry when Beth first began to intercede. God in His faithfulness answered this prayer, and anointed her not only for intercession but the prophetic as well. Over the years, the Lord has unfolded simple, yet profound, truths that she imparts to others. Thousands from the nations have been released into ministry as they learn principles of prayer and the prophetic through Beth. Using gentleness, humor and simplicity, she captures the hearts of her listeners, encouraging them that they, too, can hear the voice of the Lord. Traveling extensively, she teaches and ministers in seminars and conferences worldwide. Beth's proficiency and accuracy in the prophetic has given her credibility among world leaders. She is co-founder and President of Intercessors International, a prayer ministry that trains and equips intercessors to undergird the work of business and spiritual leaders around the world. Because of the Lord's anointing in wisdom, insight and the prophetic, Beth is a sought-after consultant in the business community and is on the board of two international companies. In 2002 she founded the Strategic Training Center which has the mission for training and placing intercessors into all facets of life to include the corporate world. In addition to co-authoring Intercessors: Discover Your Prayer Power, Beth has authored Becoming a Prayer Warrior, The Mighty Warrior: A Guide to Effective Prayer, Daily Prayers and booklets in the Praying With Purpose series. Her publications have been translated in numerous languages. Beth also writes a weekly prayer for the President's P.I.T. Lindell Cooley
Raised as the only child of a minister in Northern Alabama, Lindell Cooley was surrounded by ministry and music throughout his formative years. His first practical musical experience came when he was taught to play the tambourine at the age of five. From there, he went on to play the drums, bass guitar, organ and piano. Nearly three decades later, he is drawing on all those musical skills and more as president of Music Missions International (MMI) and music minister at the Brownsville Assembly of God Church in Pensacola, Florida.

"I always had a desire to lead people in praise," Lindell says. "I love it when people get caught up in worship. There are times when we are worshipping that I sense His approval--and that’s what it’s about--doing what is pleasing to the Lord. It’s during these intimate times with the Lord that people’s lives are being transformed."

At twenty-one, Cooley was spending part of his time playing the piano with Christian musicians Lenny LeBlanc and Rusty Goodman and the other part serving as associate pastor in his father’s church. But he knew he had a destiny to fulfill and at the age of twenty-eight. He set off to find it.

Cooley moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and began working at Christ Church as an assistant music minister. Two years later, he left Christ Church to become a studio musician and an independent producer. In the fall of 1994, Lindell Cooley visited Brownsville Assembly and met with Pastor John Kilpatrick. In February of 1995, Kilpatrick needed a music minister and believed Lindell was God’s choice for the position. After initially turning down the job, Cooley accepted and arrived in April of 1995. Two months later while Lindell was away on a missions trip to the Ukraine, a historic revival began.

It has been a long road from playing the tambourine to leading the music of a historic revival. Not just any revival, but a revival that has played host to nearly 4,000,000 visitors with no end in sight. The revival in Pensacola continues with the largest crowds recorded visiting in the spring of 1999. In the midst of this awakening, Cooley has seized the opportunity to create a company unlike any other in the music industry.

Music Missions International is a not-for-profit organization devoted to making the music of the revival available to the world. Profits are used to support a variety of missions and ministry efforts throughout the world.

"We want to build a missions organization that has a life beyond the music," Cooley says. "We’re planning to go and do some of the missions work ourselves as we head to Korea, Japan and New Zealand--not only to do crusades, but to go in before hand and offer worship clinics and seminars--helping to spread the gospel."

"We’d like to be around in fifty years if God tarries, and we’re taking our cues from other organizations to attain that kind of longevity. We don’t want to be a maverick entity out there without a church. A lot of missions work requires money, and we’re helping to be a supplier of those funds. We can find the workers, but the challenge is finding the money to get them there. Music is the instrument of this message but the heart of this company lives in missions."
